Minister Rwanyindo appreciates the implementation progress of the ICT supported HR development project

Today 20th September, 2018, Hon. Rwanyindo Kayirangwa Fanfan ,Minister of Public Service and Labour attended the event where Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) and Korea Institute of Public Administration (KIPA) presented the implemnetation progress of  the ICT supported Human Resources development and public service capacity building project; a project financed by the Government of Korea.. 
The Memorandum of Understanding to launch the Integrated ICT supported HR development and Public Service capacity building project was signed in 2013 between RMI and KIPA and was endorsed by  the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA).
The project which is being implemented covers cooperation in organisational diagnosis and Government capacity building, public sector innovation and reforms, e-Government and ICT based public administration, HR training and development.
Among others, the event was attended by H.E. Kim Eung-joong, Ambassador of Korea Republic to Rwanda, Cho Hyeong Lae  the Country Director of KOICA Rwanda and Mr. Hyug Keun Ahn,  Vice President of KIPA.
Gasamagera Wellars, Director General of RMI thanked KIPA for supporting this project.
“We thank the Republic of Korea for supporting us through this journey, ICT based services and e-Learning centers are operating all over the country, we are very eager that this project will get tangible results if various public and private institutions embrace it” emphasized Gasamagera in his remarks.
H.E. Kim Eung-joong, Ambassador of Korea Republic to Rwanda, applauded the strong ties between Korea and Rwanda and said that is one of the reasons they support Rwanda in ICT and skills enhancement.
Hon. Minister Rwanyindo Kayirangwa Fanfan, also thanked the Republic of Korea for supporting this project and appreciated its implementation progress.
“I want to urge RMI to keep pursuing strategic partnerships like this one we have with Korea: A partnership built on mutual respect and responding to our profound aspirations and our priority national development goals. And beyond this Project and its remaining steps, I call upon you to put more efforts on the Project sustainability but also, along the way, think about other many new Projects we can undertake together in the next years. We will  spare no efforts as we keep working together in the transformational journey of our Public Service.” Disclosed Hon. Rwanyindo.
